Wildlife painting has been my passion for a long time.I started doing art shows around 2004. It encouraged me to really step up my work and I started producing a lot of paintings. The shows really didn’t impress me and even the galleries were disappointing as well. I love to paint and didn’t want the fact that the selling part turn me off. After all I was to painting for me. http://www.borntoillustrate/fine art As a graduate of Ringling School of Art ,class of 1972, I aimed my sites at being a graphic artist and illustrator. I’m not sorry that I took that direction. After almost 50 years in the business of Illustrating for rather large companies I retired.
Now Im enjoying my free time painting. My wife is also an artist and really inspired me to go in the direction of wildlife painting. http://www.coroflot.com/lillionofjudah . Selling original art but todays market sort of steers me in the direction of prints. I’m hoping to reach the point of selling only original art. Most often I paint in oils, acrylic, gouache and watercolor. I also enjoy just sketching and color pencil. I love working on clay-board. I have also enjoyed working on canvas in the past because of the give of the canvas.
My wildlife Paintings are mostly of birds, not sure why. I just finished two bunnies called marsh bunny love. It was done on clay-board in acrylic. I like giving humorous names to my paintings, they just come to me. When you go to my website , look under fine art and browse around. be sure to leave me a comment so I know you were there . I’m trying to update regular to keep things interesting .When I mentioned computer art, it’s mostly work in the entertainment design business. It was just easier and faster plus I had to keep up with the younger generation. Thats why I like to relax in the studio with a painting.
