Born to illustrate is not just the name of my website, it pretty much  describes my life.I have been interested in some form of art since i was a very young boy. I had a sketchbook when I was 12 that stated that I was going to be an artist when I grow up. Ive had people tell me all my life that I’m naturaly talented. Im not sure if I completely agree with that. Im sure that there is some truth to it but I have another thought on the matter. Most everyone that is really into their profession ,no matter what it is must have liked it enough or even could say they love it so much that they eat drink and sleep that particular line of work. Can you imagine someone that is an accountant and hates math. Or a gymnast that doesn’t like to work out. A chef that doesn’t like cooking. You have to practice a lot at what ever you choose to do.I didn’t become an artist over night. I did miles of illustrations , sketches and  joined all sorts of things that involved me it my field. Life model classes and other groups that helped me with what was to become my life work. I enrolled in the  famous artist course when I was very young and was always involved in art classes in school. Even taught the seventh grade class when I was a sophomore in high school. After high school I went to Ringling School of art and graduated in 1972. I was a life model instructor at brandy wine  PA  just so I could be in the class to draw for free. I have been gainfully employed as an illustrator and cartoonist for over 45 years and even though Im retired as far as going in to work every day, I still remain very active in this field.

What a wonderful world of imaginative art you have created. Every time I see your characters, I can hear you chuckling and see your spirit in each one.
You are truly blessed and your work is wonderful, in both the cartoon or fine art form.
It was always a pleasure working with you and watching your personality come out in your art.
Thanks for the laughs and the beautiful work, Tony!

Thank you so much Dear, what a sweet thing to say. I had a lot of trouble getting my comments section to work. It was asking mathematical questions and people would give the correct answer but it wouldn’t let them leave a comment.I got it working I guess. What I lack in intelligence I make up for in Tenacity. Stay safe Tony
